Georgii Stenberg (b. Moscow, March 20, 1900; d. Moscow, October 15, 1933) and Vladimir Stenberg (b. Moscow, April 4, 1899; d. Moscow, 1982), Russian artists and designers. As teenagers, the brothers studied theater design and decorative painting at the Stroganov School of Applied Art. Their professional collaboration began in 1917, when they worked together on the restoration of the stage at the Moscow Club of Railway Workers. When you see the tongue-in-cheek signature: 2Стенберг2 ( translating as 2Stenberg2) on a Soviet film poster, you may be aware that it was created by the Stenberg brothers, probably the most famous designer duo in Soviet Russia.
